While these works are newish, I imagine them as a continuation of the To Serve Man is a Cookbook series. They utilize similar motifs: food and food culture as community-defining agents (for better or for worse), the relationship of our bodies to each other in terms of our consumptive needs and desires, the relationship of our bodies in a strictly biological sense, (of eating and shitting primarily), a hearty sense of play and sentimentality and so on.
Every B in Chilliwack was shown as an audio installation as part of the Science Fair event on July 10, 2014 at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver. The piece included a full audio recording of a script I wrote specifically for the event. It was waaay to long at 7 minutes for an event like this, so I also included a take- away element of rolled paper scripts of the story. Inside the scrolls were snack-size honey samples. They were tasty.
